Bryan Norton is a Mellon Fellow at the Stanford Humanities Center, where he does research in German literature, media studies, contemporary philosophy, and the history of science. His writings have appeared in a number of publications, including Theory, Culture and Society, Cultural Politics, Symphilosophie, the Goethe Lexicon of Philosophical Concepts, the Goethe Yearbook, and the LA Review of Books. He received his Ph.D. in Comparative Literature and Literary Theory from the University of Pennsylvania in 2022 and has held visiting positions at Goethe University Frankfurt, Humboldt University Berlin, the University of Cologne, and Paris VIII.
