
Bryan Norton is a philosopher and scholar of literature, media, and the environment. His work is devoted to exploring the planetary-scale entanglements of technology, colonization, and climate that emerge over the course of European modernity.
Since receiving his PhD in Comparative Literature from the University of Pennsylvania in 2022, Norton has held visiting appointments at Paris VIII, the National Autonomous University of Mexico, and Friedrich-Schiller University Jena. He currently holds the Mellon Fellowship of Scholars in the Humanities at Stanford University.
